Brick Paver Reads: Robert A. Eakin, Evelyn M. Eakin, Fremont, Ohio

Testimonial from Evelyn M. Eakin

I purchased a brick paver because I thought the new facility was a worthwhile project.

My husband died just 2 days before our 63rd wedding anniversary which was June 11, 2005. He was treated at Memorial several times before he died and received excellent care under Dr. Howard Stierwalt.

I had all our children, 1 girl and 6 boys including twin boys at Memorial Hospital and received excellent care. The last several years I have been attending diabetic clinics at Memorial and find the nurses well informed. I worked in the admitting office and switchboard 11 -7 Saturday and Sunday nights and 1 evening 6 -11 for 8 years, 1955 to 1963 and enjoyed it.

I was recently honored for 35 years volunteering in the Gift Shoppe several hours a month. I enjoyed it because of the people I worked with and the customers. My husband and I delivered Mobile Meals during the last two summers we were home. I have continued this service with Vi Mehling the last two and a half years and we both enjoy it.
