Golden Threads
More than 3,500 members throughout our community belong to Memorial Hospital’s Golden Threads program. Golden Threads combines a variety of health services, discounts, educational classes, and social events that help maintain healthy and active lifestyles. A Golden Threads membership is a passport to a full-range of benefits and services such as Medicare Part D training, cholesterol screening, and group social events. With the support of the Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Golden Threads Office provides most of these services free of charge or at a minimal cost.
Operation Cookie Drop
Through the Golden Threads Fund at the Foundation, Golden Threads' members spread holiday cheer to others in the community who might need a little “holiday pick me up.” Through Operation Cookie Drop, volunteers deliver homemade holiday cookies to area residents who receive services from Home Health, Hospice of Memorial Hospital, and Mobile Meals, in addition to cancer patients, and others in our community who could use some old-fashioned holiday cheer. This program is funded entirely through generous donations from community members.
