Eliza Ramsay Home Building Fund
The Eliza Ramsay Home Building Fund is used for the maintenance of the historic building.
The Eliza Ramsay Home was formally opened February 26, 1926 as a home for “retired ladies.” The Home offered ladies a place to live that included a cook, housekeeper, and manager. A Board of Trustees oversaw all the day to day operations for them. At the time, ladies who lived in the home were charged a rate of $50 per week.
The Eliza Ramsay Home is no longer a home for retired ladies. Home Health and Hospice of Memorial Hospital now reside there. In 1996, the Eliza Ramsay Home Building Fund was established to pay for the maintenance of the facility.
The Eliza Ramsay Home, located in Clyde, OH, glows with luminaries that were lit in memory of loved ones at the annual Love Lights memorial service. The event takes place in the first Sunday of each December.
