Auxiliary - Health Education Scholarship Applications
Scholarships are available to residents of Sandusky County and to Memorial Hospital employees and their immediate families living outside the county. Employees living outside the county must have five years of continuous full or part-time employment to be eligible. A total of 11 scholarships worth $30,000 were awarded in 2011.
These scholarships are offered to persons interested in pursuing a career in Nursing or the Allied Health Professions such as medical technology, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, etc. Applicants may be graduating seniors, or other persons out of school seeking to further their education in these fields. The amount of individual awards depends on various factors including the length of the course of study, the total funds available, and the number of applicants each year.
Please note: pre-med, pre-dental and pre-optometry students do not qualify for these scholarships.
Application forms may be obtained from area high school counselors, by contacting Robin Williams at 419.332.6226, materials, including application, are available for download in January of each year. Scholarship applications were due March 16, 2012.
